IN BED
WITH RAQUEL SAVAGE
In Bed With Raquel Savage takes you inside developing sex tech companies that are innovating new ways to access intimacy! The goal is to address the average person’s underlying fears and anxieties that stop them from having healthy, happy sex lives.

Did you know, innovations that allow two (or more) people to interact virtually in a sexual way, like video chatting with sensation attached, could lead to improved healthcare technology for disabled people?

Snapchat plays on the desire to send sexy pictures that disappear quickly. Now more apps prioritize anonymity and privacy, used for sexting or not.

Already, the technology used for sex toys has crossed over into public consumerism: for example, a “pregnancy belt” by Huggies that lets the wearer feel the baby kick.
We’ll dive into these worlds with the help of a therapist and sex worker for an educational, sexy, and hilarious new show!
FORMAT
ACT 1: MOS
Welcome to In Bed With Raquel Savage, we start with a cold open MOS that tee’s up what we’ll be exploring. From there we go to a credit sequence and then an informational / explainer video narrated by our host, Raquel Savage, that sets up the expert interview in act 2.
ACT 2:
EXPERT INTERVIEW & DEEP DIVE
Now we go into the field to speak with an inventor, scientist, CEO or other authority figure who can intelligently speak to what we’re exploring. This happens over 2 acts:
-
An expert interview between Raquel & the topic “expert”
-
A field trip or hands-on activity centering the topic at hand.
ACT 3: THERAPY
Using Savage’s clinical knowledge on processing trauma and making space for new beliefs, Savage will meet with an individual or couple struggling with a related concern and we’ll watch in-real-time as they work together to address and resolve their issue.
ACT 4: SEE YOU NEXT TIME
We jump into another MOS interview where Raquel will talk to people about some of what we learned in the episode. Part quiz, part interview and part call to action as it will end by asking the audience to engage on our social platforms, send questions, comments, & ideas for the next episode!
BONUS CONTENT
AFTER DARK
“After Dark” will be additional clips behind a paywall, separate from the episode, providing NSFW tutorials using the products we discussed in the episode or teaching a new skill. This segment will feature real sex workers and sex educators doing live demonstrations — this idea extends the work Savage is already doing in her series, Sexxx Ed.
